Really nice training jacket/vest-

It's called the "Ultimate Dog Training Vest" (It's for people to wear, not the dog). It's actually a jacket with removable sleeves to turn it into a vest. I've bought a couple of them over the years, and they are REALLY nice. I especially liked the removeable sleeve option....I think this is the only training vest I've seen that has that ability, and it makes it a real all-season jacket/vest. Lots of big pockets in the front for balls/toys, a couple velcro straps to secure a bite roll, a big pocket across the back for large stuff, and a removable treat pocket on the front. The picture does not do it justice (it's a pic of the older model from years ago). The newer model I just got is made of much better material, and the collar is black like the rest of the jacket now. It's very reasonably priced also. Just wanted to pass it along. Here's the info on their site:

Ultimate Dog Training Vest - V33

Re: Really nice training jacket/vest-

I used to use a hunting vest. I know other guys who use tactical assault vests too. The big problem is, it's just a vest. No sleeves but then again this is AZ and I'm a bonifide tough guy and we don't use no stinkin' sleeves. :-P

Hey Jazzking...where (club/trial) did you get that BH on your boy?

Sorry, but then it sounds like a fabrication to me. I will absolutely apologize if I am mistaken. All BH's are recorded by the club, and then the parent club, so I don't understand the big secret. There is no score recorded for a BH, it's just a pass/fail.

Some of the harnesses look really nice also. I have this really good Amish leather shop near me (Mt. Eaton Harness) that does all my leather stuff, but if I didn't have this shop nearby, I'd probably buy some leather stuff from that website.

Re: Really nice training jacket/vest-

Hi Skip...great link, thanks ! They have some very nice harnesses. I am fortunate to have a good leather guy since I have horses and they always find a way to tear up tack so I found him right away

I see you are also in the Akron area. Are there any trainers you could guide me too ? I came to Akron from N Carolina and haven't had a need but I would like to get Oscar started and move towards agility work.

Take care...Marley

I belong to a really good USA training club in Dalton, but it's a schutzhund club. I don't know any agility training in my area, but I can do some searching for you. You are welcome to come out to my USA club.

Re: Really nice training jacket/vest-

Hi Skip, Thanks for the invite. I may take you up on that. Mark had mentioned getting involved with schulzhund, but poor little Oscar is only 4 months old, so I think we had better get the basics down first. I would be interested in attending to meet to see if it is something we would like to pursue. If you could point me to the when and where that would be great.
Thanks for your help
Marley
