| PUPS Therapy Dog Training I found a therapy dog training program here. It is highly respected and has recently started a program for puppies and their handlers, called PUPS. I've gone over the requirements and believe that Zooey and I can successfully complete this course. Not only is she one of the most social and attentive puppies in public situations that I have every encountered but we have been taking her to my MIL's nursing home to visit since she was ten weeks old. She is already familiar with many of the sights, smells and sounds and is really great with MIL and the staff. What do you guys think about trying this? |

| Re: PUPS Therapy Dog Training Went to visit MIL today and told the head of programming that I was thinking about this. She told me that Zooey was perfect and that she wanted her to be their house dog. Zooey is just amazing there. It's like we walk in the door and she instantly grows up. Her focus is incredible. |

| Re: PUPS Therapy Dog Training I think its awesome for you, the dog and the people, not to mention for the breed, Im planning on during Therapy with Cash I have to wait until July when he is a year old to have him tested, but he is the most loveable pup out there, he would rather lay with you and be petted then play catch or with toys, he just loves being with people of all ages,,, Good Luck

| Re: PUPS Therapy Dog Training it is great that you are working to be a therapy dog team and socializing and doing classes. i would advice though, to join a registry and have insurance thru them...just in case of anything. most registries though, dog must be at least 1 year of age. just a thought.

| Re: PUPS Therapy Dog Training That's a good idea. Thank you. I used to work for an insurance agent and am a little amazed that I didn't think of that. |
