SchH Clubs in CT

I'm new to the Rottweiler family. I must say, coming in to this. I was a little skeptical of the breed. I've owned mostly Pit Bulls, or other Terrier, Bully types. With over 30 years of dog ownership experience. I've always trained my dogs myself. I do consider myself a good trainer. Even though I have never tried SchH before. To make a long story short, I need HELP! My Blitz is so smart and his temperament. I never had a dog with the attributes of this one. I see that I need to get better as a trainer. I feel there is nothing this dog can't do. Does any of you know. If there are any Clubs with in CT. I know of one in NY not to far from me. I wanted to see if I had something closer to the Bridgeport area.

There is the "Rottweiler Club of Connecticut" they are a USRC club, and train I think almost 5 days a week. I know they have an indoor heated training area. Very good people also. If you goto USRC Clubs you can find them to email and see if that situation would work for you! Best of luck!

blitz what club is that? Our club is in Monroe and is the only sanctioned club in the state I believe. There are some other clubs that do it like connecticut canine but I would be careful with there decoy....he tends to like to run through dogs to show how bad ass he is....he enjoys getting dogs to shut down

These guys are in New Haven CT. The name of there new klub is Elm City Rottweiler SchH Club. I found them on the USRC web site under forming clubs. I went for a look see today with Blitz. They have dogs from Andy Devlin of Germanstolz. Eddie Taylor and his partner seem to know there stuff. Have you heard of him? I have spoken with Darlene and Andy before extensively on the sport. I would like to see your club also. Monroe is just down the road from me.

does your dog have any training at all? If you want email our club through the website Oceanstate Schutzhund club. I am the only Rotty in the club however we have 3 people that placed in the nationals last year and one that made the world team.
