| I think they deserve a master's degree. the people at the club mailed me a message during the week, it was, "there is a solution to every problem" so last night, they had decided boris would not work with other dogs in the puppy ring and either one of the trainers would handle him at first, then I would, while he was leashed to a pole. they discussed how to work with him and discussed him as they worked with him. I didn't understand very much, and later, as I continued to read and try to learn more about this sport, I am beginning to understand how much is involved. I was happy to watch them work with him, he is just having so much fun. I can tell they are very attuned to the dogs, they are totally encouraging to me, but they are working with boris. I watch them, I think they are brilliant. every question is answered, conversation is lively and helpful and entertaining. Last edited by debbiej; 12-16-2007 at 11:39 PM. | Re: I think they deserve a master's degree. That's the way it should be.As long as you and your dog are learning, making progress and have fun it just right. When you and your dog are eager to go to the training, and looking forward to it,as long as you listen to the trainers, take their advice(if you have questions, ask) it's great to be an accepted member of a club.Keep in mind that good trainers are the people who work with their brains and the dog,and teach the owner. Not all trainers have these gifts, but when you found such one, it's like finding a gold-nugget. ![]()
