Dang it - I wanted to enter the obedience portion of this trial...I missed the entry - they filled up FAST!

If Doug is racing in Poughkeepsie that weekend, I MAY come up with Ben just to get him MORE used to a busy show atmosphere, and to come see ya'll compete!

Good luck to all who ARE entered!!!!

I think we are amongst the entries...I hope so! I haven't heard otherwise so they had said that meant we were "in".

Now, y'all better not laugh at us . Joy and I have done next to nothing to prepare ...too many crisises at this end have taken priority but I am thinking (hoping!) we will be okay. I printed out the Rally signs...but I have yet to put a sequence and go through it!!!

We are going to try to get to a run-thru between now and then...and just have fun!! I guess we'll see how this little teeny bopper and her scattered partner do!! Wish us luck too!

Andria, you should do just fine! Joy already has her CD, so the first rally title should be pretty easy for you guys.

Akasha got her RN title in three trials with scores of 98, 98, and 96 and I had never seen the signs until I did my walk thru before the class The next day we moved up and she got her first RA leg with a score of 95. I have not taken any rally classes nor have I studied the signs at all, which I admit was probably NOT the best thing to do, but we did just fine

I am going to take a rally class starting next week, because my neice will be taking the class and she wants me to go with her, so I signed myself and Akasha up with Chelsie and Keil (Chelsie will be putting Keil's rally titles on him).

To those of you trialing......GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! Be sure and let us know how you do!!

Well.....I took 3 rally classes before my first trial, I really like the feeling of being well prepared. Even after the classes though, I still walked into the trial with a few questions on rules.

Diane knows this stuff inside and out. She is the person to ask with questions. The signs are one thing, but you must understand how to deal with a retry/or a missed station....I think those are critical. Also know about the Left about turn (ScH style turn)...

I'll keep my eyes out for you Andria...I'd like to see Joy again!!

Thanks you guys for your words of encouragement...I am like you Jessica...I like to be prepared but I just have not been able to get a ride to training class and with everything else going on...it just hasn't happened. But I have found we use many of the RN exercises in daily life...it's the signs that may get me! I scan pretty quick but sometimes I need to stop to see something fully so I am hoping I will get fully acquainted with the flow during the run-thru...I liked traditional obedience for just that reason: I didn't have to worry about where I was going...just waited for the judge to call out directions for me!! :0)

Diane and Bea were kind enough to show us the schutzhund turn...thank you Diane!! And, do I understand correctly that to do a retry...you leave the station from the direction which you came and then return to the station to re-do the exercise?

Look forward to seeing you all again...we will be in conformation too...and if you don't spot us inside...look for us over on the agility field as we will have a booth setup for canine massage.

Depends upon when you arrive :) Saturday is Mom's birthday and Sunday is father's day so I have some home "obligations" I need to get back for. I would imagine I'll be there awhile so we should overlap a little :)

Diane, I'll try my very best to be timely!!!!

Anne, I'm not sure if Rally will be going on late in the day on Saturday....If Novice B starts at 11:15, then, pending how many are in that class ( I suspect it is the largest), then I'd give 1.5 hrs..... Sound about right Diane??

It's usually "about" 25 - 28 per hour depending upon the size of the ring, the complexity of the course and "unavoidable delays" that shows often have plus absentees and moveups
