Working Dog goals for 2005.

Sch1 on my boy Rocky.

Slowly initiate the new pup (I'm hoping to get) into Sch.

Attend/enter a LOT more sieger shows. (The new pup will have a tail).

Anybody else?

Re: Working Dog goals for 2005.

Sajan: First and foremost getting him back to 100% and then see about getting his BH and T1 in the fall.

Omora: Enter some Seiger shows, start her training and hopefully get her to enjoy swimming and maybe jumping, basically have a lot of fun with her.

Roxie: Getting her structurally sound and hopefully a BH and T1 in Fall.

Re: Working Dog goals for 2005.

The BEA-st

2005
U-CD in March
Rally Novice
Train her to find shed deer antlers

then puppies

2006
Rally Advanced
Rally Excellent
start on her Rally Advanced Excellent
AD
Start work on tracking and hopefully get certified for trialing before fall, if so add a TD to the list

Wanted to get her Pack dog title through the Malamute club, but no way am I putting that much weight on her for it- she'd have to carry about 26lbs for (I think) 10-15 miles

Re: Working Dog goals for 2005.

For BEN: Get the last to wlegs for his CD title, possibly more advanced obedience work. He's beginning to show his age (he';ll be 6 in April 2005) and I'm not 100% certain he enjoys competing as much as he used to...

For BARON: Finish basic obedience, get into advanced classes.

Hubby says he bets that he can get a CD on Baron faster than I can get one on Ben...I HIGHLY DOUBT IT...

Re: Working Dog goals for 2005.

Asa is only 7 months. So far he won his first AKC class on 6 month birthday. Went VP at the BARK show. Received his HIC when he was 5 1/2 months old. My hope is for him to receive his TD by 11 months. His BH at 15 months and so on. He is traveling to Canada with his handlers in December. So far he has done alittle of everything.

I've been puppy researching and I've narrowed down to a few litters. I should be getting another puppy hopefully in May 2005.

For Jasmine hopefully get a BH on her this coming spring, moving on to titling in obedience and tracking.

Re: Working Dog goals for 2005.

Looking for Sch1, BST and AD early '05. Sch2 sometime in the summer. Hopefully the USRC Sch. Champ. will be close enough to travel to and compete. Find a way to qualify for the IFR Champ. in Florida next November.

Re: Working Dog goals for 2005.

We are already planning vacation time for the IFR, but we will be there only as spectactors (no where near ready for that level yet). So if you make it to the IFR then we'll be there to cheer you on!

I think the plan is to allow levels I & II also compete, not sure if you have to qualify or not. It's unclear what the qualification for SchH III will be (I think discussion is still going on).

I hope to attend at the very least and if lower levels are allowed perhaps we could do that :)

For now... just aiming for SchH I locally (big sigh!)
