My trainer strongly recommended not doing agility with a Rottweiler he said the speed combined with the course is to much on their joints. Schutzhund is not only versatile but very demanding many don't make the cut.

SchH is a very demanding dog sport. I do love my dogs, I love staying outside in the nature, even on sunday mornings at 4.30 am and I love staying together with my dogs.
It is a challenge to train the dogs in the three elements of the SchH Sport in order to reach sufficient results in a trial.
Our dogs are no roboters or computers were you can reach 100% power by pushing just the button. It is also very demanding to reach a high education level just in time for the trial.
I like doing trials, they can be a very long day from tracking in the early morning to the protection in the late afternoon, were all the stress is blowing away after your team has passed.

Before doing SchH education I had the opinion, that these dogs are trained to be man-aggressive and that I do not want to have dogs like this. This opinion changed after three month carefully watching what is done during the training and recognizing, that all the dogs like these part very very much.
This was my personal starting point with this kind of dog sport.
I am faszinated by this sport and I am nowadays helper and trainer in our club.

My reasons for participation in SchH are very much like BostonRotts. The discipline and control are very rewarding. Plus the dogs love it. I can't wait to get back to the states and join another club.
