| Actually, I think collars will go---if there's a progression. You have no idea how many people come to my training class thinking that any kid of collar is cruel. They ask me if I mind if they use a harness. If the dog does not pose any kind of threat, I tell them, "sure." I also tell them that it will take much, much longer and that they will have to be very patient. Time cannot be an issue. They usually either drop out or switch equipment. Our society is one that does seem to be in a rush. And, of course, there's the relatively short life span of our dogs. |
