seminar

Just thought some of you may be interested in knowing about a seminar that is going to take place Oct. 16th-20th (dates may change by a day either way), with Armin Winkler and Bernhard Flinks in Palmyra VA. The cost will be somewhere around $75 per day per team. Their may be a price break on attending the entire seminar?
New helpers are also welcome to come out. Things are not set 100% yet, but we will try to put something together for the teaching of new helpers and trial helper work?
Check this web site http://www.schutzhundvillage.com/ for seminar info, as the time gets closer. Or pm me for more info.

Well weather should be great....around 70 day time 50's night.

It's about 3 hours north of me. Great time of the year to do it.

Yeehaw!!!!! Now THAT is a seminar!!

What level of dogs are they looking for? This sounds like something fun for Vikka, and it's on a non-agility weekend!!

seminar

Like Keith said the weather should be great that time of year. Their should be some great tracking in the AM. The seminar site is 500 privately owned acres with private access to the Rivanna River.
I am not sure how Armin and Bernhard want to work all this out? The seminar is going to happen, but Armin is away right now, he will be back in about a week and then the final details will be figured out. As far as level of dogs, it will not matter. Last year Armin set something like this up with Ivan (but, one week before it was going to happen Ivan got bit in the leg pretty bad. So, Ivan could not make it up) anyway it was set up like a Nationals prep camp. This may kind of work out something like that, Armin has access to a stadium and James Laney and myself will be there for some of the helper work. But, any of you that have been around either guy knows how they are with young dogs, so young dogs are never left out. Armin does want to try to work something in, regarding helper work as well.
I should be able to get the final details out in a week or two.

Doug,

I know a some people that definitely want to go to this...only thing have to watch out for is the USRC NorthEast Regional Seiger Show being held on October 31st, Nov 1st and Nov 2nd...since its a regional it will have a huge draw and some really great helpers and teams could be lost...I can think of three right off the bat that are very excited about the seminar, but already have submitted entries for the show.

So the weekend you cited would be perfect!

seminar

The dates are set for that weekend. Bernhard is doing another seminar the following weekend in WI. The weekend after that is the USA National.
The seminar will cover all three phases. It will also be opened to any Law Enforcment K9's. Both Armin and Bernhard will work together in making training decisions based on each dog.
It is open to any level dog from beginer (or pup) through advanced competition level dogs.

I'm sorry, Doug, I am a bit dense today. Did you mean the dates are set for October 16 through 20th? Is it a 2 or 4 day seminar?

Sorry to be a pain, but I am forwarding the details to about 10 other people so they can plan their fall schedules as well.
