Frol dawg had another great weekend on the agility field. She finished her Novice Jumpers title with a first place on Saturday in blinding rain, and then today (Sunday), she entered Open Jumpers for the first time and again took 1st place! Yahoo!

The splendid leap off the Aframe in Open Standard kept us from our 1st OA leg, but we have another shot on Tues at the Corgi Natls.

She's such a fun worker..........all this, 12 weeks after her C-section!! :)

Congrats on your title and your first leg. That's wonderful. Agility is definitely a blast, especially with a motivated dog!

more good news! Gretchen says that Froli got her first leg on her Open Agility title (OA) yesterday. I believe she says she took first place as well!!

So that's 4 legs in a bit over a week's time (1 NA, 1 NAJ, 1 OAJ and 1 OA)

Super work Gretchen and Froli!!!

They have another trial this weekend! Good thoughts your way! :)

Frol and I are supposed to be running in the USDAA trial this weekend in Stowe, VT. We're up here, but last night (Fri night), my month long cough really decided to kick my butt and tear some intercostal muscles (rib muscles). Ended up in the ED in Vermont, sounding like I was giving birth to an elephant........muscle spasms. We didn't get to run today, I'm highly disappointed, as there were both Steeplechase and Grand Prix qualifiers that we had entered.

The percocets and Mike's Hard Lemonade are working well, and hopefully tomorrow (Sunday) we'll be running.

Yes, Vikka is very well started in Agility, and is even more agile than Froli. That tail helps SOOO much. Faster turns, tighter wraps around jump standards, can call her off a wrong course better (better stop/turn), and she can even turn around, mid-stride, on a dogwalk and come back to me!! She's proficient on all obstacles except closed weaves. Due to warnings from several agility-competitor vets, I will not do closed weaves with her until after 14 mos of age. She's only 9.5mos, and currently at home in heat.

Banja too is started, learning handling on the flat, running through jump standards, and starting board work, to later progress to teeter/dogwalk. :)

Froli earned her last 2 legs for her Open Jumpers with Weaves (OAJ) title this past weekend.

What a spring this girl has had!!
