Very small brag

I wanted to share that we passed the basic obedience class, this time at the local club. We have joined and are now members.

This means we will be signing up for the visiting dogs program. That class I am not sure when will start, you have to have at least 5 dogs in class. But it is the foot in the door type of thing.

Makita did well, and they surprised us, by bringing three ankle biters, (sorry folks, but they are such a huge distraction for our big dogs..lol)...in with the mix.... they combined a couple classes.

Gave us intro to agility, the tunnel, and we got our certficate and photo... I would post the photo, Makita looks great, but I had my head down, and its just awful... I'll see if I can erase my half, but she did it... so we move on to our next goal. Therapy dog class, and I hope to be a part of this program, as I really feel she has the gift for the elderly especially.

For now, she is making new friends at my mom's senior complex, and they just love her to pieces.

Thanks for listening. Like I said, just a small step.

For now.

:D

Good for you! When my Grandmother was in a senior home, she and the other residents were so grateful for those people, who took time to bring in th therapy dogs for them to see and pet. And we as family members, were also. So many, my Grandmother included, had pets all their lives, and really looked forward to the visits. As far as she was concerned the time with a dog NEVER lasted long enough. Even though it was not you or your Makita who visited my Grandmother, Thank you anyway for what you take the time to do. It very much is a gift!
