It's been a while since I posted, but I felt like bragging a little about my little pound dog. A year after rescuing her from a high-kill Los Angeles shelter Wanda has earned her B.H. in Schutzhund.

Boy, what a difference training makes. Just to have her not go crazy when seeing other dogs seemed like wishful thinking a year ago.

Since I was at the trial I will add that Handler and dog did a great job... Handler was much more nervous that Wanda was... and I can sympathize with that. After I earned by BH w/ Blaise I swore I'd NEVER do that again.

It is always a pleasure to watch Wanda heel. She is very attentive and looks so happy as she follows by the handlers side... If only all schtuzhund dogs could look this good and energetic.

Thanks Laurie. Looking back at the videotape I could see that Wanda did a lot better than what I thought during the routine. My poor girl was probably thrown off by Dad's weirdness.
