hi, and welcome.

Congrats on your new beebie grrrrl. :)

Let's see, I'm not sure exactly where you are in Pa, however, you can start hunting for clubs in your area. Keep in mind that rotties work differently than GSD's and Mals (slower to mature, for one), so you'll want to find folks who are experienced with our breed.

Try the following links, and if you can't find a club near you, you might contact some of these folks to see if there is someone closer. It is well worth a drive through the beautiful PA countryside to find folks that best suit your needs. Don't necessarily jump on the closest group, go for quality of training.

I do a lot of general searches on the web, and if you can find any trials going on locally, you might want to attend, check em out, and have fun.

Good luck with your new grrrl !! Keep us posted, and again, welcome aboard.

Regards,
e

I strongly suggest that you join a club. That is the best way to learn about the sport, and go to as many trials as you can to watch.

I notice that Poohbearsmom listed the ARV website in her reply to you. I do not know how far you are from Dallas, PA, but the contact people for the Keystone State Rottweiler Club are located there. If you check out the ARV website you can get the address and phone number. If it is close enough to you, you could work Schutzhund with them.

Look at the United Schutzhund Clubs of America website for clubs in your area.

This is where I'd begin my search if I were you.
