How good a sleeve?

Hello,
Looking to get a bite sleeve and wanted your opinions on the Ebinger sleeve. Looking at the "Marburg" ambidextrous sleeve for young dogs. Love opinions from those who use sleeves. Is this a good one? Is there a better one? What should I be paying?
Thank you

Frankly, I know nuttin about the ebinger. BUT, I just received the "belgian arm" by Mr. Pet Food. I know the name sounds corny, but everyone at my two clubs unanimously agree that it is the best sleeve, quality, workmanship and usability wise they(we) have ever seen. LIGHTNING fast action. It is a trial type of sleeve and is not a compression type, but it still is pretty soft and has a great bite bar. I have heard some concern about durability, but so far have seen no signs of wear and tear and we use them alot. Frabo also makes a nice product, as does Gappay. For a compression sleeve, the Ray Allen 203 is probably the best bet. Puppy sleeves, probably any one from the above will suit the need as you will only be on it for a relatively short time. For any of the above, expect to spend around 200 for sleeve and jute.

If it were me, I would check out the Mr. Pet Food, IMHO, after having one personally, I won't be without one and will quickly buy another if it wears out. PM me for details of where to get one, as far as I know, only one distributer int he US carries them, but I could be wrong. I was told that they are hand made, one at a time by a guy in, of course, Belgium, in his house. Who knows if true or not, but judging by the workmanship, whoever made it takes pride in their product. I initially ordered mine in late May and received it in August. In fact, I kinda forgot I ordered the thing until it showed up. Apparently, they are getting really popular and the guy had a big backorder problem. But, I am told that that is solved now.

Yeah, I like the Frabo, Gappay aint to bad either, especially when I think of what's locally available. Nothing against Gappay, that's what I'm using at the moment. Over here you're looking at about R1 500.00. for a sleeve:( ................hate this weak currency!;)

Awesome. you will still feel some pressure if they are a real alligator, unless you have a neoprene gaunlet. We have a PH1 Mal that we catch thta is the most for real dog I have ever had the pleasure of working with and he is fine on the sleeve. I HIGHLY recc. it. You will be pleasantly surprised.

You can fit a neoprene gaunlet in a sleeve? We only use those things for hidden sleeve work.

I've used the belgian arm before and thought it was a good sleeve. I didn't think it was anything out of this world but it's still good. I find that a lot of dogs bite very well on the gappay. They stick to that sleeve like velcro. Sometimes I think it's too easy for them but if they like it , I like it. ;) We have a Ray Allen sleeve that's a hard MFer. Only the advanced dogs are put on that one and not always either. The experience I have with hard dogs sleeves are that they're super sleeves at first (dogs like em, i like em) but they seem to wear out quick. I've given a couplle of bites on a Frabo when I first started helper work but don't remember much about it to say anything. I would like to try one out again. Any critiques on Frabo??

Yup, not for many dogs, but one in particular we do. Believe me, the discomfort of squeezing the neoprene in is far, far less than the discomfort of getting a bite without it. We also neoprene up when we do bitesuit work with this dog. There are no pu$$ys out there wearing the equip., the dog just bites that hard.

RE: Frabo, they make some pretty nice stuff as well. It really jsut boils down to what the helper likes in conjunction with what the particular dog likes. I say, if it feels good and the dog likes it, buy it. If it is the best of the best sleeves, but the dogs are biting shallow, etc.., but on a different sleeve have great grips, not worth a darn IMHO. So far, all of our dogs love the mr. Pet Food sleeve.
