2 down 1 to go!

Loki has finally begun his run at AKC obedience. He earned two legs on his Rally Novice title this weekend. Saturday was a 92, but should have been a 2nd place 98. His stupid handler walked on the wrong side of two signs losing him 6 points. Sunday was another 92 and 4th place finish. He was also the laugh of the day. On his two downs he decided he was going to roll on his back and ask for a tummy rub. He enjoyed all the laughing and applause, not to mention the "Awwww How cute". At least the judge gave him credit for laying down first.

Re: 2 down 1 to go!

The cuteness factor should have gained those 6 points back for you!

You know as well as I do... the dog never makes a mistake... only the handler makes a mistake.

Congrats on 2, now work on that 1 to go!

Team Tanzbar is rootin' for you!

Re: 2 down 1 to go!

Congrats! It feels so good to get those legs under your belt! All the best in your journey for the third.

I wish I had been there to see the belly rubs, that's priceless!

Nice job!

How well I know those annoying, pesky handler errors....

Sounds like you just might have been bitten by the Rally bug! Congrats on your first two legs and best of luck as you go for that third one!

LOL, Loki got those points back in entertainment value!

Congratulations on your Q's! I didn't bother with 3 point handler errors our second time in the ring - I went for it and got two 10 point handler errors instead, LOL! Chili was perfect......did exactly what I asked her to, which was to sit on an exercise where no sit was asked for, and to not sit on another where the sit was supposed to be. She would have earned a second perfect score if *I* had been paying better attention!

Welcome to the wold of OB competion.
We train as hard as we can to make our dogs perform the best,but...the day of the trial is most likely the day the dog get us back for all the hard work he had to do.
That day he makes us the joker. See the funny side of it all ,your dog got his laugh, enjoy with him;he will get over it

Congrats for both of you.

Re: 2 down 1 to go!

Congratulations to you both. Loki will always be the clown:). Are you finishing him in Columbia and moving him up to RA? See you there, if not before (if the snow ever goes away and we can get outside to Georgia's again!!)

That is the plan. Do I enter himin Novice B for both days then move up the second after he finishes? If finance allows, I will finish Serena's CD or RA.

Re: 2 down 1 to go!

Enter him in Rally Novice B both days, then when he qualifies on Saturday, you can move him up before you leave the show site for Sunday. I believe that all move-ups have to be to the trial secretary 30 minutes prior to the day of the show...

My intent is to enter Lorenz in Nov B, so he and Serena can show together.. (this is all dependent on how well he does in UKC Nov B!)
