Too much snow make them sick?

We're in the middle of a blizzard, over 24" of snow so far. Maggie and Sadie love the snow - digging paths, wrestling, etc. Of course they enjoy eating the snow as well. Can eating snow cause stomach upset? Sadie has been foaming a little around the mouth. When she burps it smells awful. Maggie seems fine.
Does anyone have any thoughts?

we're right up in york,pa. never had that problem. he eats lots of snow. i think he runs it off. they wanted to play this morn at 5 am while i was shoveling. omg!!!! lol he tends to dool more with the sno eating tho. lol

we used to have a clients Golden that would get nasty diarrhea if he ate snow

One thing to keep in mind is falling snow traps airborn pollution so if your furnace is going and snow falls through the exhaust that particular snow will have that in it. If you are near heavy traffic or a factory the same thing

Sadie seems to have perked up. After a bout of diarrhea, she's seems to be better. She is the curious one so she probably ate something she shouldn't. I always get worried when they aren't feeling well.

Not only does snow trap pollution (don't eat yellow snow ) it also freezes you from the inside out. Not nitrogen type freezing but if enough is eaten fast enough it can cause upset stomachs.
