Red Puss pimples all over puppy

My puppy is about five months old and has a few hundred PUSS filled white head pimples all over her body. The area is extremily red and the hair is falling out around her neck and face. The itching is driving her crazy and I have cut her nails because she is drawing the blood to her boody and it is looking very bad. I have called to vet three times begging to get her in and we cannot be seen untill sept 11th due to the vet being very busy. I put socks on her paws and she pulls them off. I put on a turtle neck and she removes them. I dont know what she has and Sept 11th is to far away. This is the weekend and I cannot find a vet anywhere and her condition is getting worse and the hair is falling out and there is puss sacks all OVER her neck and belly filled with puss. The puppy has the whole area bloody and this is a major concern and must be treated. Does anyone have any clue on what the puppy could have? Anything out there I could purchase that could treat her untill she see's the vet any help would be great.

Did this just come on suddenly? It sounds like an allergic reaction to something. And you need a new vet!! A vet who cannot get you in when there is a problem or cannot refer you to an emergency clinic or otherwise have emergency coverage needs to be dumped! Are there ANY emergency vet clinics in your area? She is miserable and should not wait untill the 11th! The fact that she is scratching herself bloody and there is puss visible in very concerning, the last thing she needs is a roaring infection. Can you check with local animal shelter or humane society to see if they can refer you to an emergency vet clinic? Good luck, I hope you are able to get treatment for her asap!

This is so sad...I would find another vet too . In the mean time, buy an elizabethan collar for your dog (the 'cones') this will prevent her from scratching at her head sores.

I KNOW there must be emergency clinics in the Pittsburgh area. You need to take your puppy first thing in the morning.

Besides an allergy, it could be sarcoptic mange; caused by mites. Definitely curable but it can be transmitted to humans. A good vet should be able to see you on Monday; at the latest Tuesday. Call around and check out other vets. Good luck and keep us posted.

I agree, if your pup is drawing blood with scratching she's incredibly uncomfortable and in pain - I'd call an emergency clinic or call around to another vet to see if you can get her in.

I know my past vet and my current vet would MAKE time to see my dog, although I might be looking at an early or late appointment.
