7 month old ate a little chocolate

Hi tonight my 7 month old Sasha took a bite out of chocolate cake not much but enough to make me worry a bit. I have been watchin her and she doesnt seem to be restless or vomit yet its been about an hour since she got to it? Are there any other symptoms i should b looking for? i'll b up keepin an eye on her any suggestions or imformation would be great...

The chocolate in cake is pretty diluted. I wouldn't recommend repeating the experience, but I think she'll be ok.

For future events, if your dog ever eats something you think may be dangerous, a one hour wait could do a lot of damage.

Thanks i did some research on dangerous ingestions and read that chocolate is toxic but would take a considerable amount more than a curious bite and thats y i was waiting to see ne symptoms but thanks for such a quick response this forum has turned out great full of people who love the breed and have knowledge of dogs overall

Whenever you are worried about something your dog has eaten, just call your vet for advice. My fox terrier many years ago licked up glass after I had dropped a glass container of salad dressing in the kitchen, all my vet told me to do was feed her a few pieces of bread along with some milk to coat her stomach. She didn't have any problems! Your vet will either give you advice, or give you information so you can call the right place for advice.
