Re: fungus

Oh no!! We had a big break out of staph in our area, I believe it was the MERSA strain...it is not cured very easily . Is this what your dog has?

Staph is very tricky...often you may have to try multiple kinds of antibiotics to cure it. If you see no improvement after a week, I would request a different antibiotic.

I hope your baby feels better soon.

the dos are responing well to the treatment, it has a combination of three different penisiins, sorry they are in spanish , Bencil penicilina procaina, Bensil penicilina Benzatina, Dihidroestreptonicina Sulfato. One of the dogs has cleared right up, the outher is wose and oviasly need more treatment, I was wondering how long after they look mgood should they get the shots? Iv read a few different time lines and I was wondering if anyone had any first hand expeiance??

Re: fungus

I believe that your dog should be totally healthy before giving shots. Vaccines can sometimes have adverse effects, you wouldn't want your dogs immune system to be busy fighting staph and vaccine side effects.

I would wait until the staph is 100% gone, then wait a week or so. I am not a vet, but that is what I would do for my dog.

Are your dogs getting their annuals, or are they puppies?
