Re: It happened again :(

Good luck! I'd probably wait on the test results in case they come back with another explanation.

Re: It happened again :(

I would wait on the pheno. It has side effects, and you don't want her doped up if its not necessary. I am praying it is the carpet! and you can put all this behind yous. I'll keep following new word... Best, Debbie

Re: It happened again :(

No results yet !!!!! I just called the vet...I guess she has been sick for like 3 days now. The tech said she probably has the results locked in her office ...I guess the waiting game continues.

On a good note...I finally got up enough confidence to take Nisha out! We have had two successful walks now ! I am still not comfortable with off-leash play or swimming yet, but she really enjoyed those walks. She was pretty much walking with her eyes closed, and nose in the air....like "I never thought I would be allowed out again!" It is nice having a tired dog again !

Re: It happened again :(

Man, I thought I have been waiting on pins and needles!!! I can't imagine how you feel. I always check your thread to see if you've posted anything new.

Yay for Nisha!! I'm so glad she has gotten to go on a couple of walks! What is it, a week and a half now with nothing?? Maybe it was just the carpet? Poor little girl, it is so scary not knowing what is going on. Luckily, she is acting like her sweet normal self for the moment!!

Re: It happened again :(

I surely hope this mystery is solved, and that Nisha is in fact back to her old self.

Re: It happened again :(

I am glad to here Nisha is doing better.

I am sorry to say I have not heard back from my old vet who had the "carpet fume" case. I called today to see what was going on since I have been home sick and found he is out of the country on a trip to the Amazon !! No one else has been there long enough to recall the case or the names to look it up. I left a message to contact me as soon as he gets back but that will not be for another 12 days. Lucky him....not so lucky for me wanting info.

I am sure Nisha is a happy girl going on walks, I am hoping she will be back to her normal routine soon.

Take care...Marley

Good to hear Nisha is doing well! I'm sure the outdoors are keeping you both in good spirits. Hopefully the results are not too far off!

Re: It happened again :(

Happy to hear Nisha is still doin good. I can just see her on her walks with her nose up sniffing the air. It's good that you're able to get out there again with her.

But really, what is up with the vet? She needs to get better real quick. We're all waiting here.

Hope Nisha keeps her nose held high.

Re: It happened again :(

Well...I FINALLY got the results back...everything is normal ! The vet said the carpet is a very good possibility as to the cause of her seizures.

She also said to wait on the Pheno...if she has another one, we will put her on it.

So, I guess I'm done for now! I hope I will never have to add to this post again, this whole situation has been a roller coaster for us! I cannot thank you enough for everyones support.

Also, we are still talking about getting our air quality tested.

Even if this wasn't the cause...I will NEVER put non-organic carpet in my house again. After everything I learned !

The worst part is, we ordered cork flooring for those two rooms (with carpet). China was having a really bad ice storm and we still hadn't received it after 6 weeks...we needed flooring so we went with a cheap carpet ; maybe we should have waited .
