3 weeks with Diarrhea

I was hoping that someone may be of some help with my issue.
I have 3 year old male rottweiler with chronic diarrhea for the last 3 weeks. We have been to the vet 3 times all ready and are going back again on monday. He as NO other symptoms such as vomiting or behavior changes.

He as taken Metronid, Endsorb and Fortiflora. The vet still has him on the Metronid and a high fiber diet.(Metamucil, which he is not found of at all) We are waiting on test result from Fecal Pathogens Profile to see if this may be a parasite. If this is to come back neg. then we move on to a blood test for Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency.

He has also been on a blan diet now for the last 3 weeks.

If any one has gone thru this or would have any other ideas of what this might be, I would love to hear it

He's taking metamucil and a high fiber diet. Doesn't that sound like the reason for the diarrhea?

I'm sorry, guess I'm confused. Later you say he's on a bland diet.

My experiences have been that my female has inconsistant changes in her bowles. In fact she almost always has a loose stool at some point of the day. Anyother time she's had problems there was more to go with it. Eventually with the bland diet she got better.

I almost think it's time for a second opinion, 3 weeks of that is more then any dog should have to stand :( Poor baby, give him a head pat for me.

What exactly are you feeding him? Is he on a prescription food?
