Rottweiler hip problems I have herd that rottweilers are prone to hip promlems. My rotti has weak hips and when he sits he never touches his bottom right to the ground. He has a hard time jumping into the car aswell. What do you think is wrong?

| Re: Rottweiler hip problems How old is your dog and what makes you think he has weak hips? How long have you had him, what is his background? Your best bet is to get him to the vets for an evaluation, there are other things besides bad hips that can cause the things you are describing.

Re: Rottweiler hip problems If I read your other posts correctly your dog is having some other issues as well. If you are concerned, have the vet look him over when you take him in for his red eyes and possible ear infection. If the vet doesn't see a problem you can always ask for x-rays to rule out any problems. How old is your dog?

Re: Rottweiler hip problems He is 2 years old. I got him from the shelter a few weeks ago in not the greatest conditions. I have booked a vet appointment. Thanks!

Re: Rottweiler hip problems The Vet said that he was a very healthy boy. His hips are surprizingly as good as they get. She said they were amazing for a rottweiler. His weight is also perfect. The red eyes were caused from dust (His old home must have been dirty) His ears are good but one of them has some kind of mild infection and I have drops to cure that. I am switching food right now because Purina is causing him to get dandruff. I am thinking about swithing to a raw diet. Not sure where to get the stuff though.
