I know that bacterial over growth should present with the blood results you mentioned. When all of Lola's tests came back neg, the vet was so stumped by her increasingly deteriorating condition, he ran a seperate test and had to send it out. It was this test that showed severe bacterial over growth and she needed large doses of amoxicillin asap. Her xrays showed the bacteria taking over with large portions of inflamation coming up all shaded. Once she started the amoxicillin, she stoped the severe diarrhea and was no longer dehydrated. She had no response to flagyl or any other meds even though she already tested positive for Giardia. This bacteria was a different issue. Maybe worth a check if he is not 100 percent. Hope he feels better, sweet boy!!
