| Possible EAr mites I have noticed Roxy tonight shaking her head and scratching one ear..I looked at it and that one ear is very red..the other is just pink.. I saw some brown "crud"..maybe ear wax or ear mites? Is there anything I can do tonight to help relieve her? I am guessing taking her to a vet is the only way to cure this but I wont be able to do that until tomorrow...thanks for any info |

| Re: Possible EAr mites Just clean her ears tonight with half vingar half distilled water. Use a q-tip and gently remove the crud. Your vet will clean out the deep crud and perscribe medicated liquid to kill the mites. Good luck

| Re: Possible EAr mites if you clean the ears, do not remove all the crud. let your vet take out a sample to test if it is bacterial, yeast, mites or maybe a tick in there. depending on the findings, they will give you the appropriate meds.

| Re: Possible EAr mites thanks angelbunny...my vet did give me a cleaner to use also before giving the medicine and then to use a couple of times a week, just as one of the articles mentioned...it's funny how we learn new things thru our pets!!!! |
