Paradise having surgery today...

I just brought Paradise to the vet to have the soft tissue sarcoma removed. They will also be cleaning her teeth and an x-ray of the bladder (suggested by Brunie's Mom)to determine if something is going on - she has had a few accidents in the house this past week.

I will check in with the doctor after lunch to see how my baby is doing.

Please send good vibes out way!!!

Thanks

Michele

Re: Paradise having surgery today...

Just got a call from the vet - surgery went smooth, the growth removed appears to be a fatty tumor.

The x-ray of the bladder was clear, but they did have a cathater in and when removed a bit of blood was in the urine so they are going to culture it and she what kind a bacteria is in it.

Tech said she appears to be coming around. We will meet with the doctor at 6:00pm to pick her up and go over results.

Thanks for the good vibes!!

Keep you all posted.

Michele

Michele, it sounds like good news. Most of all Paradise has a wonderful loving Mom and I know that she'll be back to normal soon with your good care.

Good vibes are still being sent your way!

That is fantastic news! Just an fyi, the fatty tumors we have removed (2) reappeared in the same spot. Hopefully that won't happen with your girl, but if it does, I'd highly recommend a fine needle aspirate before surgery. Our guy had one such tumor and now has five. I can't imagine removing all of them and doing so repeatedly. They were all very easily dx by a fine needle aspirate.
