Re: Our Sweet Sassy Has Parvo!?!?

You may be able to do it through your vet so give them a call also. You may have to call them for the # to fort dodge.

Re: Our Sweet Sassy Has Parvo!?!?

Good luck with the bills. I have been following this thread for some time and I am so happy every time I see you post another update. I cannot imagine going through that with a puppy. My heart goes out to you and I am elated that Sassy has pulled through. She is one special girl!!

Re: Our Sweet Sassy Has Parvo!?!?

I'm so gladshe's eating. She's probably loving that chicken!! Pretty soon shes going to start thinking that chicken is her daily snack and it's going to cost you a fortune. I'm glad to hear how well shes doing.. Your dog is a fighter! You should be very proud. Try getting her onto the house rules again. It's no good when they just feel like stop listening. I hate that; my dogs do it too. Sometimes they just don't want to listen. There in there teenage years. Lol.

Re: Our Sweet Sassy Has Parvo!?!?

Yes, she DOES think that chicken is her gourmet food and I am her chef!!!! She will sit pretty while I am at the stove cooking. She is a MESS with the house rules. She never was a begger while we are eating and she would ALWAYS go in her crate on command....now....she sniffs at the table the whole time meals are going on and when I tell her inside she flops down and I have to tug her into her crate! We have restarted putting her in her crate during meals so she is not inclined to beg and sniff. She is very vocal lately as well....not in a bad way...but she talks to us alot now....she did this a bit before when she wanted someone to play ball with her, but she kinda howls at us when we walk away from her in a room. She is also very, very protective of the house now...like the vet stay brought something out of her....she was very upset at the neighbors yesterday for peeking into our yard and she was very upset with the bug man that came to spray today...I let him into the house and she was barking and growling at him almost the entire time. Weird, because all but one of the people at the vet hospital were females.....anyways, I have REALLY tapered off the chicken today and given her more dog food (i know, the nerve of some owners) but I feel bad because she sits and looks at me like "mom wheres my chicken". I know shes not going to starve.

Hello Ahhhbe,
I was just wandering if you had any luck with man. of the VX? I am glad sas is better now she is quite the little fighter and I hope you can get the house rules back in order for her now that she is feeling better. A little chicken evry now and then is not going to hurt. I can just see her asking for a little bite.

Re: Our Sweet Sassy Has Parvo!?!?

Well....I think the manufacturer has all the papers they need! Hoping for the best! Sassy has her follow up (with a booster) tomorrow at 11. She is eating GREAT....well the things she WANTS to eat she is eating GREAT! I am eager to see how much she weighs. She was 56lbs when we took her to the vet.....not so much now! LOL Anyways, any way to get her back onto her dog food? I tried mixing the chicken with it and she would pick out the chicken, so I just let her have the food......she eats about 3 cups a day.....she was eating twice this....once in am and once in pm......she is still "hungry" because she wants "table food" now. I think she is leaving room for this just in case I feel generous LOL......so anyways, thats my life in a nutshell the last two days! Oh, and her poops are a little more "formed".....not firm but not liquid!

You have to click on the Gallery link up above on the home bar. Then when you get to the gallery under the Home bar theres a link that says; "Upload" alls you have to do is click that. And then there you go you can add your pics.
