help... underweight pup

i have a almost 9wk pup. shes way underweight. she prob. only weighs 6lbs. maybe a couple more but doubt it. shes just getting over having worms and coccidia. she's eating fine but shes not picking up much weight. what can i do? my baby needs help i have a vet appt. monday and want to get some opinions before the vet starts telling me stuff too. thanks

First of all, get her on a better food than Purina. If you are purchasing at Petco/Petsmart, they DO carry Solid Gold, Wellness, and Natural Balance dog foods - which are all much better than what you've got.

Second, feed her 4 times a day for now. You can add some baby food meat, cottage cheese, or cooked egg to each meal to add some good calories. Make sure fresh, clean water is available at all times.

My puppy had coccidia at the same age and once it's cleared up, your puppy will start to gain normally.
