Arrow TPLO sucess!!

My girl just had her final x-rays today and the vet says the bone has healed beautifully. Such a relief that I thought I was going to cry all over again! She's been doing really well, but seeing the x-ray and getting the Doc's approval made it all a reality. I can't wait to get her back to her long walks in the woods, a little at a time of course, we have to build up her muscle mass. I'm so glad we did the surgery. It wasn't fun keeping her calm for 8 weeks, but well worth it. I just had to share my happy story!

I'm so happy for you it is hard to have your hairy friends disabled. My girl has had surgery 7 days ago but unfortunately had a severe reaction to the meloxicam. It will be wonderfull to on day let her chase butterflies again with her sister. All the best

Thanks! It's so good to have her on walks again. I just have to keep her from over doing it, she thinks she's "Superdog"!

Congrats. I take Abby in on Monday for her 8 week x-ray check up. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Abby seemed to heal so quick. Does your dog limp still sometimes? It is weird, some days Abby is great and you wouldn't even know that she had TPLO surgery and some days (usually mornings), she limps still. Also, her knee looks a little bumpy to me...i hope she is ok. She never fell or anything, so I don't know why it looks so bumpy to me. maybe scar tissue build up or something??
