TPLO problems

I'm new to this so I hope I am going ok. Ellie one of my 2 year old girls was scheduled for TPLO surgery on the 18/7/2007 but got terribly sick and was hospitalised for a few days, but happily she recovered. Her surgery was done on 27/07 /2007 and all went well . She came home the next day and suddenly fell very ill again, my vet has located something in her intestinal tract and is today opperating .I have had Rotties for 25 years or so now and it just doesn't get easier, you get so attached to them they are like having unusually hairy children around the house and when they are sick you wish you could take their place.I should hear latter today if her leg surgery was nothing more than just a waste of bone screws .She may have swallowed something or it may be some other thing the name of which escapes me. I wonder sometimes if it is just me or do others have all the problems I seem to get. At any rate I have now to wait for the phone to ring and hope for good news.
