| Cherry Eye I took Brutus to vet today and he was diagnosed with cherry eye. I did some research on this thread but still have a few questions. Anyone ever have good results with the ointment or is surgery usually always needed? Is it hereditary? Thanks for any help. |

| Re: Cherry Eye If you look at the bottom of the page, you'll see a couple of threads about cherry eye. They all seem to indicate that surgery's needed, but the costs being discussed didn't seem that bad.

| Re: Cherry Eye Cherry eye is thought to be inherited. Corrective surgery occurs under general anesthesia and your dog is able to go home the same day. |
