how long in heat?

How long does a heat usually last? We've had spots for about a week and a half now. Is it almost over? she has been swollen for a week.

Re: how long in heat?

You've got a while to go yet. My girl usually activley bleeds for about 2 1/2 weeks...but just like us womens-eahc bitch is different. I noticed the older she gets-the longer her cycles are....

Re: how long in heat?

they are usually in heat 21-28 days. bleeding starts to lessen by the 14th day, but for safety, keep away from males until at least past the 28th day.
