EYE PROBLEMS IN PUPPIES

My female rottweiler, almost 1 year is having a serious problem with her right eye. It may be in the eyelid, weve been to the vet 5 times over it and still we feel unsatisfied with their determination(pinkeye, eyelid irritation, etc). Every week or so well notice her eyeball is completly swollen over with white and red what looks like from the side of her eye has just swelled up, so far it hasnt affected her immediate vision, and we intend on putting her under the operating table when shes eligable in two weeks but i just fear for her sight and well being has anybody ever experienced somiliar problems with their pup...Roxy is a great dog and im trying to do everything for her..Help me if you can!!

This is definatly a job for a canine opthamologist not a regular vet. You would go to an eye Dr for an eye problem so why not the dog?
I had a shiba with runny eyes that the vets just blew off as allergies etc. The opthamologist checked her out and was mad that no vet had seen fit to give her anything. He treated her and prescribed artificial tears to rinse out her eyes to keep the allergens down and a miracle she no longer has runny eyes!
