Rotti's and Snow I am planning a day at the snow with my wife and son. Is it wise to have our two Rotti's (4&6 months of age)? If not at what age would it be ok for them to play in the snow? Thanks for the help guys

They can play at any age, after weaned from their mom of course. My Rott's love the snow. When Rocky was 3 months he started jumping up in the air to catch the snowflakes! What a sight!! Now at 7 months he waits until they come down a little closer before he bites them.

I think it is just fine to let your pups play in the snow. I haven't meet a Rottie who didn't love it!! I would monitor the time they do spend out in the snow though. You need to watch for hyperthermia (sp) and their paws. I would limit it to thirty minute intervals. When you bring them inside, make sure you dry them off, including paws. Go have some fun!!!
