| mysterious swelling - rashes? Hello guys! I need help w/my three month old Bailey. I got him only two weeks ago and I noticed something alarming in his tummy area when he flipped over on his back. There are some swelled spots that look like insect bites especially near his inner thighs . I ruled out insect bites since he is kept indoors most of the time and it is definitely not allergy caused by food intake as I only give him dog food and I watch his diet closely. It does not seem to affect him at all he eats the same and still has the same energetic disposition! What can I do and are these "rashes" normal? |

| When is he due to see the vet again? If it's soon, obviously, have the vet check the bumps. If not you might want to call and see if your vet can give you some idea what they might be. It could be an allergic reaction to something. Since not all dogs react the same it might not bother him where another dog would be chewing. (I had a Basset puppy once that had quite a few fire ant bites and she never even noticed them.) In the meantime keep an eye on them and if they get larger, redder, start bothering him, etc. - any change for the worse, contact the vet.
