Swelling on Elbow

I have a 1yr old female that has on her left elbow a rather large ball of what feels like fat but it looks strange, i touch it and it does not seem to bother her. Does anybody know what this could be?

Tahnks for any info.

my guess is for your peace of mind, you'll want to have a vet look at it no matter what you hear here - but maybe someone here would hazard a guess if you gave some more information like:
what is "rather large" - pea-size, grape-size, egg-sized?
when you move it, does it seem fixed/attached or does it seem kind of loose and independent?
and of course, what does "looks strange" mean - what does it look like?

Is it soft to the touch and feel kind of liquidy? It could be a pressure swelling from the dogs weight and lying on a hard surface. My girl had them on both elbows, looked like little water balloons, they went away and a callous formed there. Lots of large dogs get them. Have the vet check to be sure.

my dog had it too as a pup, but now at 9 months, he's OK, the water balloon has gone. Once it even exploded, I mean had a hole in it that opened into the inside. I had to treat it with antibiotics, but it recovered after a few weeks.

as Lil E said, it could be a pressure swelling.

Our 6 month old male had a similar growth where his weight put pressure on his elbow when he laid down. It grew very quickly and we became worried. We took him to the vet and she said he was probably too young for a cancerous growth but we probably wanted to check it out. We had the "button cyst" removed and analyzed at the lab. It came back benign thank goodness. The only real set back were the stitches in his arm for a week - he was supposed to remain docile and immobile... We all know how hard that is with a 6 month male energy ball!!
