| Puppy hiccups several times a day are completely normal. Try coaxing him to drink a bit of water, that usually helps. Otherwise, just enjoy them! They will soon be replaced by rottie gas! ![]() Kim |

| One of my male pups did this when he was young. Seemed like everytime I went outside he was hiccuping. Scaring him didn't work either. Just kidding. I found it weird that he did it, but his sister didn't. He eventually outgrew it. No harm done.------------------ Rachel aka rottie_mama http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/7900 |

| Hiccups?
My 6 month old rottie gets hiccups a few times a day. He eats a premium dog food and very little treats. The vets says it's just his age. Is this common? |

| Thanks so much for all the comments. This is sure a great forum. I know hiccups are not a big deal but it is still nice to know it is common for rotties. P.S. I've already had the misfortune to experience the gas! [This message has been edited by Debbie Haman (edited August 13, 1999).] |

| All of you who are victims of "Rotten Gas" go buy some "Beano". There's a pet version also , but this stuff works. Not to mention that you can also use it on your spouse and life is great ! |

| Troy, Your post was very interesting, I never realized elevating his food and water might help. I actually ordered an elevated stand last month. I'm just waiting for the woman to finish it. It's so cute. It's a rottie! (of course) |
