Hernia

My little Tank has an 'umbilical' (sp?) hernia. I was told it would probably go away around 6 months but it hasn't, and doesn't look like it's going anywhere.

Can this cause problems?

It all depends on how big the hernia is. It's not difficult for the vet to repair it if he/she feels necessary. Unless part of an internal organ is poking through the hernia, or there's a possibility that could happen, there's usually no need to repair it.
