Cosequin DS

Hi, has anyone used Cosequin DS for arthritis etc, and had good or bad results? Would appreciate your comments.

Annie,
Yes I have used the cosequin and I recommend it highly. Gretta has between 3 & 4 grade hip dysplasia, 4 being the worse. She also has arthritic degenerative disease in both hips. It worked well. Her muscle also compensates for her disability. I tell alot of people about it. We are fighting the bone cancer now - adding shark cartilage too!

I've had very good luck with glucosamine/chondroitin combination. I buy *Pain Free* at Sam's and use it myself. My severely dysplastic, symptom-free, 6-year-old male is on 3 tablets a day plus Hokamix 30. I've also used it on an arthritic old Beagle and a Basset with good results.

A friend of mine just started using the glucosamine/chondroitin on her little Bichon. He has had operations on both his hind legs, and at the age of 10, he is now getting very arthritic. Poor little devil could only walk about 1/4 of the distance he used to, his legs were so sore.

After about a month or so on this supplement, he is now walking as far as ever. In fact, we took my Rott and her Golden and 2 Bichons for a walk the other day, around a huge field. The grass in it was taller than the little Bichon's head and you should have seen him bouncing and jumping to see where he was going. I can definitely see an improvement in the little fella.
