Determining Temperature Just a curiosity question for future data storage. I raise Dachshunds, and it is really easy to determine if they are running a temp by feeling the inside of their ears. If they are really warm, I take their temps. I've never failed at noticing elevated temps this way with this breed, but with my Rottie, his inner ears are ALWAYS warmer (in comparison w/the Doxies). How can you determine if a Rottie is running a temp w/out going ahead w/a booty invasion? Thank You Angie MIGHTY THOR'S Mom

I wonder if one of those kiddie ear temperature checker thingies would work? They are expensive, but much less invasive. http://www.rottweiler.net/rottie/biggrin.gif ------------------ Rachel aka rottie_mama http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/7900

you can feel the inner side of the thighs close to its belly, where the hair is scanty... but this will take practice. Try it. ------------------ Abel Manalo College of Veterinary Medicine University of the Philippines
