of going to choose from the all the choices for treating and killing those worms w/c will you choose;

1. (Pfizer) Canex
2. (Bayer) DRONTAL
3. Canimax

and do you also treat them for HEARTWORM?

I use Sentinel Spectrum. It prevents heartworm, all instestinal worms including tapeworm and prevents fleas from breeding.

My dogs have been on this for years and have never had worms or fleas.

For a do who already has worms I would use Drontal.

I use interceptor for heartworm prevention and intestional worm prevention. I would not start heartworm prevention without a a heartworm test first. I would not treat a dog for heartworms without the direct care of a vet.

Those products are used for intestinal worms, not heartworm. Heartworm treatment needs to be administered by a vet...or it does over here.

A dog over 6 months of age needs to be tested for heartworm before preventative treatment is used.

ok. But what about intestinal worms, what among the three offer good results.

DRONTAL. I believe human worm treatments are not effective for dogs.

Help, My rotti, had almost a golf ball sized sack on his left rear ankle. He was not visible in any pain or discomfort, no limping or anything; however my girlfriend took him (Thor) to our vet. anywasy today after 3 weeks of at home observation. The vet. put him under for a biopsy and she removed what appeard to be a 16" long roundworm from my Rotti's left rear ankle. HOW COULD THIS BE?? I've never heard of this. The vet is sending the roundworm out for a 2nd opion. Thor is recovering nicly at the vet for the rest of the day. I don't have all the info on the medice Thor was given/prescibed yet, but has recieve a shot and a persciption.
