Eye Concern ? ? ? Winston has a small white bump in the corner of his eye near his nose. This is the second time this has happened, it happened two days ago as well. I searched this site and the closest situation I came across was someones pup had an ingrown hair. The other day when it first appeared it went away the following day. Now it has come back. It doesn't irritate him at all, it just looks bad because I know something is wrong. Usually this part of the pups eye is brown, it is not the eye/cornea, it is in the corner where the tear duct would be and it is as white as his outer eye is normally. Sorry it is very hard to explain. He has to go to the vet again in about a week and if it doesn't bother him till then I will wait. Just curious if anyone has had a similar experiance? Thanks for your insight in advance.

Re: Eye Concern ? ? ? Has anyone had a similar experience? Looks like his tear duct is swollen, but he isn't bothering it at all, just looks terrible. Not much tearing either. Could it be allergies?

Re: Eye Concern ? ? ? Thanks for your thoughts. I am taking him to the vet today. I was hoping it would go away again but it did not. I will post the prognosis from the vet. for anyone who might have the same problem.

Re: Eye Concern ? ? ? Well, it went away again which is a good thing, I guess. I did not take him to the vet because I didn't want to pay 35 dollars for them to look at nothing. I did a search and he has "Cherry Eye." After finding out what it is I am not sure what action Should be taken. Some pups it goes away and never returns others have to get it operated on. There are people here that have dealt with Cherry Eye and I would appreciate your advice or anyone who is in the know. From what I have read it is usually not prone to Rotties but it has been known to happen to pups between the ages of 10-16 weeks. Winston is 15 weeks going on 16 this SAT. Will the gland develope/strengthen and prevent this from happening again?
