| PPA/Phenylpropanolamine/Propalin Are these names all the same drugs? I typed a search on google and they all came up as the same drug. We started our dog back on propalin for leakage at night but I cant seem to find it on this forum the amount of dosage he wants us to give her. Our vet wants us to give her 1 and 1/2 pills every 12 hours the pills are 50 mg that seems like a lot to me our rot is about 113 pounds maybe alittle more. Any one give this high dose to their dogs? Please tell me of any side effects that you noticed? Our dog was very sleepy when given this in the past but we only gave it for a couple of weeks and stopped so we never really gave it time to work, I guess. Thanks |

| Re: PPA/Phenylpropanolamine/Propalin Our 6 year old female we rescued is on Phenylpropanolamine. She takes one 75 mg pill every other day, she weighs 85 pounds. She started on 1 2x a day, then went to 1x a day and is now on her maintence dosage. We have noticed no side effects yet, she has been on it for about 6 months now. The medicine works great on her leakage problem. Our vet told us that every dog has a different maintence level they need. Some dogs only need one pill every 5 days.
