Eye Tearing??

I have a new neighbor . I met his dog today a female mix looks to me like Golden retriever/Irish Setter . Her Left eye is Tearing Pretty bad doesnt really look like its staining but it is Tearing.

What is it ?What causes it? How do you fix it?

The Dog is "Chained" to a dog house outside.So that tells ME that he wont take the dog to the Vet unless its eye is falling out.

could be allergies, especially if the dog is outside all the time.

could be a defective duct.

could be an injury to the eye.

could be any number of things but allergies comes to mind first.

If the owner doesn't do anything about it, turn him in for cruelty. Chains are the WORST thing anyone can do to a dog!!!!!

check its teeth our appeared to have an eye infection and it actually had a bad tooth our vet said that eye symptoms are common with teeth problems
