Thumbs up Babesia - HELP PLEASE!!!!

Hi, my name is Rudine I have a rottweiler 9 month old in Brazil. He is 40Kg (90,1 pounds)

He got Babesia and we started to treat him 3 weeks ago. We gave him one dose of Imizol 1,5 mL and one week after more 1,5 mL. together Doxican 20 mg/day for 21 days.

He is recovering but still have some sinthoms:

- Temperatura (39 - 39,5 C) ( 100 - 128 F) usually in the morings.
- Eyes are often jaundiced (yellow) now going to white and less
- It is difficult to make him to eat

Is it normal all this symptoms after 3 weeks? What else can be done to recover him

THAN YOU!!!

Since I didn't know what it was, I did a search.

Has she been back to the vet in the past week?

EXCUSE ME?? A 128 TEMP???????????????? How is he not DEAD?

Get the dog to the vet! LIKE YESTERDAY!!!!!!

Re: Babesia - HELP PLEASE!!!!

39 degrees Celsius is 102 degrees Fahrenheit. Still, that's not normal temp.. I would go back to the vet for a recheck.

Re: Babesia - HELP PLEASE!!!!

Hi Sophie! Yes the Vet saw him last week (Where I live there is no VERY GOOD Vets) that's why I send the ask.

128 .... I might be mistaken. We use C and not F so I just tried to convert.

I have seen this article before, thanks a lot for your interest.

Best Regards

Rantes

Wink Re: Babesia - HELP PLEASE!!!!

Hello!

Yes, Just yesterday we took a long journey to visit a good VET and make all the exams in Vader (My rottweiler 9 month old). Everything seems to be good now. The problems we had was with the first Vet which gave very strong medicines to him.

Thanks a lot for your interest
