Vaginitis??? Not sure, looks like it
I was reading all of the info. regarding vaginitis, and I'm wondering if that is what's going on with my girl. Greta is 14 months old, she was spayed at 5 months, and this just started about 3 weeks ago. I notice sometimes a yellow discharge, that hangs down between her legs - like a long string. I clean her up with baby wipes - when i can get to her first, if not she'll clean herself good. Just looking for some opinions, does this sound like vaginitis to anyone else?? Thanks so much!!!!

If there is enough discharge to hang down like that, I suggest you take her in and get a course of antibiotics for her. Have the vet run a vaginal smear and a CBC just to be certain.

Thank you - she has a vet appt. first thing in the morning Saturday. This is just weird, especially that it hangs down like that. Poor thing.
