| legs are trembling Troy (neutered 3yr) often has a slight tremor in his front legs, usually when he is sitting relaxed, leaning against the couch. I didn't think anything of it since husband does the same thing all the time while sitting on the couch. Our trainer in class noticed Troy doing it and thought that he was nervous and that was when I realized it does not seem to be a normal thing to do for a dog. He does it too when sniffing intently at things, just now after playing outside he is sleeping at my feet and his hind legs are ever so slightly trembling. (He is not dreaming about chasing things that looks different). Troy seems healthy and happy. I mentioned it to my vet but of course Troy would not do it there. Vet said that some dogs do that, but ultimatly I think he didn't know what to say. So, does any of you have similar experiences with your dogs, should I be worried? Thanks, Gretchen |

| Re: legs are trembling It doesn't sound worrisome to me, as long as he's not in any distress, and it doesn't sound like he is. Sometimes dogs will do this after some exercise (like training class or romping) when they are in a position where the leg is very relaxed, and you see that he also does it while sleeping (as have all my dogs), which is a complete state of relaxation. |
