Addisons Disease

My 2 year old was diagnosed with Addisons disease 2 days ago.

He got sick and was not eating, excessive drooling, vomiting, and was drinking alot of water. So, I took him to the vet and he checked his blood and the disease showed. He did some other test and it confirmed he has addisons disease.

The vet says he is doing well now, he has been there for 2 days, on I.V. and the vet has had him on steroids and says he is doing good now. So, I pick him up tommorow.

My question is will he live a normal life with the steroids?

Is there anything I need to watch for?

I have been researching the forums and it says to watch his stress levels, but my doctor says that doesn't matter.

Should he be on a special diet?

Is there anything else I should know?

Should I avoid over-excitment?

My Sophie was diagnosed with Addison's a few years back..........8-30-2004 11:11AM to be exact!
