Thumbs up Cant Move

Hi everyone, Im taking Max to the vet tomm, he has twisted or sprained his front leg over the weekend and was limping , it seemed to be better by sunday then he was playing outside with us all day and ran some, well sunday night his hip (that i posted perious condition) was still again along with the front leg, we couldnt get him to go out side till monday night and then we had to shoo him out to pee..he came back in same thing tues he is not eating dog food i have been giving him a non-asprin as the vet prescibed only 2 a day, but it has done nothing...when i called the vet they said sounds like the hip displasia but he wants to see him awake forst to see how he walks poor nubby, ill keep you updated i feel so bad for the little guy well he 3 1/2 but he is my baby

You need to help him when it's time to go out to potty. Use a towel or a blanket to wrap around his belly and hold the ends above his back. You can use this to help him get up and support him when walking him outside using enough upward tension just to help take some of the weight off his legs. You might be able to do it alone, but it may take two people, one to lead with a leash and the other to support him with the towel.

Is he drinking water? Have you tried feeding him anything other than his kibble? You may have better luck by cooking up a soft, easy to eat diet, cooked rice and ground beef or chicken (2/3 c. rice to 1/3 c. cooked meat)..and see if he'll eat that.

Is there any way you can get him to the vet sooner than tomorrow?

No they cant get him sooner we have to do it when me and husband are both home so he can help lift him into the veichle, and he is not nice about it (nubby) hes growling and i know he is hurting)

also yes he is drinking plenty of water although we have to bring it to him, but yes we are giving him other stuff he will eat besides kibble he very picky when it comes to hiis food anyways...

Update On Max

Hi all, we had our vet appt yesterday and he thought for sure he had hip displacia until we didn the lyme test and he is positive, we have him on the meds and pain killers poor guy but im almost glad if he has anything it wouldnt be the hip
