Hip---- or arthritis

Hi there My name is Kim and I have a 3yr old rottie named Max (aka THE NUB)

My question is sometimes when he plays outside and runs along the 4 wheelers we have in the yard he is limping later at night, he can hardly get off the couch you touch his left hip and he growls a little, but we give 2 baby aspirin (per vet) and hes fine the next day what are symptoms of that or could it be cause its winter where i am, heres an idea how big he is

he is aprox last time i weighed him 120lbs

Your vet will need to take x-rays of the dog's hip joints in order to see what may be causing the pain. It will be necessary to anesthesize the dog in order to get clear pictures at the proper angles. Once the vet has established what the problem is, then he/she can determine the best treatment.
