Swollen Leg!

We just noticed that Mira's left front leg has a lump/swollen area just below her elbow. It appears that the entire leg is more swollen than her other. I go over her everynight and this is new. Could she have been bitten by something? Any ideas?
She is not limping, but when I rub or put pressure on the area it does make her uncomfortable.

Re: Swollen Leg!

Maybe she had a reaction to something that bit her?? Wish I could help, but I'm pretty much a moron when it comes to the medical stuff. I hope she is ok though.

Re: Swollen Leg!

How old is she? Is the swelling like a bite? Or is it more inclusive of the leg? Is it warm to the touch? Any noticable puncture wounds?

I'd get her to the vet ASAP and be sure they xray.

Re: Swollen Leg!

Sorry about the wait. She is acting totally fine, but it has not been determined what exactly is going on. I was told just to watch her at this moment, and bring her in, in a couple days. There is no limping or anything right now. Unless you were to really look and notice the swelling you could not tell that anything is wrong. It may be some kind of bite or sting.
